GON Scholarship Funds: Once again the Gathering of Nations Limited is making scholarship funds available for fall semester to assist with the purchase of text books and lab fees. This scholarship provided by the Gathering of Nations Foundation, is available to Native American upper division and graduate students at the University of New Mexico. The Gathering of Nations, a federally recognized non-profit organization founded in 1983, is proud to fund the Academic Scholarship Foundation for Native American Students at the University of New Mexico.

On December 16, 2002, the Gathering of Nations established an academic scholarship foundation for Native American students enrolled at the University of New Mexico.

This Foundation is one more commitment to the Native American community and specifically for higher education for Native American students. We have always been about enhancing Native culture and Native lives. Education and the university experience is a healthy one. We hope that our involvement will ensure a larger number of Native American graduates with bachelor and higher-level degrees from the University of New Mexico. The University of New Mexico has the largest Native American student population in the world.
